At the 35th AfricaRice Board meeting, the 2014 AfricaRice Dr Robert Carsky Award was presented on 27 March to AfricaRice Head of Finance Mr George Maina for his outstanding dedicated service that has contributed to the success of the Center and to Ms Lucie Dalie, Bilingual Secretary, for demonstrating exceptional commitment to her work in support of the Center’s capacity strengthening activities.
The annual award, which was instituted by AfricaRice in honor of the late Dr Robert Carsky, is conferred on the most outstanding Internationally Recruited Staff and the most outstanding General Support Staff, who have demonstrated high standards of excellence and made extraordinary contributions to rice research, training and research support.
